Companion Planting
Saturday 30th May
11am till 3pm
We will be looking at compost making, companion planting and lots of
stalls from local initiatives such as Edible Street, Fairfield Compost,
Abundance etc. A day for all the family to learn about plant
companionship, strawberries adore growing with leeks and chives planted
by your apple tree or roses could prevent green flies. Come and see!!
Also a guided tour planned at 2pm.

Spring Thing ....
Sunday 18th April
11 am till 4 pm
A day for all the family when we celebrate spring and look at all the
wonderful things we can grow (and eat!). So, it might be something
beautiful to look at or something wonderful to eat or both at the same
time! We’ll have everything you need for spring sowing – from
artichokes to rainbow chard, runner beans to sweet peas. There’ll be
the usual warm HCGC welcome, experts on hand to answer all your
questions, activities for children, beautiful arts and crafts and lots
more.
Refreshments, cakes and sowing workshop for the lil' ones.
A Celebration of All Things Spring! Join the festivities and put a Spring in your step with HCGC.
